of the St. Piran’s events taking place across the county to celebrate St. Piran - the patron saint of Cornwall.

Helston

Reduth

(2nd March 10:00pm – 3:00pm - Redruth Town)

Redruth always hold a fantastic celebration for St. Piran’s Day each year! On the 2nd of March, the streets of Redruth will come alive with live performances from local musicians and artists, food vans and stalls selling a wide array of products made by Cornish businesses! Later that same day, there will be a procession throughout the town (details and timings to be confirmed).

(2nd March 6:00pm – 8:00 pm - Coronation Lake)
Helston is hosting a family-friendly lantern procession to celebrate St. Piran’s Day. Many of the lanterns are made by local artists and children from the surrounding areas. You are more than welcome to bring along your own lantern provided that it is disposed of correctly after the procession.

Penryn

(5th March 2:45pm – starting point in the memorial gardens)

Penryn Town council are holding a small, but mighty, parade and Trelawney shout (where everyone is encouraged to sing the Cornish anthem) – followed by entertainment held in the Penryn Temperance Hall where Cornish tea will be readily available! Every attendee is encouraged to were something black and white or black and gold to represent the Cornish flag!

Bude

(5th March 5:00pm – starting point Bude S.L.S.C)
Bude is celebrating the patron saint of Cornwall by holding their annual St. Piran’s Day Walk! Led by the Piper, this circular group walk commences
from Bude S.L.S.C (Surf Life Saving Club) and heads towards the beautiful Summerleaze beach! Once you have walked back towards the surf club
