WILDLIFE
The lighthouse made famous by Virginia Woolf in ‘To the Lighthouse’ provides a stunning backdrop to St. Ives Bay, where bathing, rock pooling and surfing are popular pastimes. Nearby is The National Trust owned Godrevy Beach and Godrevy Point which offers a dramatic setting for an evening picnic, watching the sun descend behind the lighthouse or spotting seals and dolphins in the waters below.

Between Godrevy and Portreath is some of the most spectacular scenery on the Cornish Coast best experienced on footpaths, but also accessible by car or by local bus which stops at the park.

Their work is celebrated in the Tate Gallery as well as many studios huddled with cafes, restaurants and craft-shops along the narrow streets of the town.
